This Privacy Notice explains what data may be collected and processed about you, why we are processing such data, how long we hold your personal data for, how to access and update your personal data, as well as the options you have regarding your personal data and where to go for further information.  LBW is committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you share with LBW.  LBW has established this Privacy Policy so that you can understand the care with which we intend to treat your Personal Information.

Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home.  In general, you can visit LBW’s Site without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself.

LBW strives to comply with all applicable laws within the United States and around the globe, all of which are designed to protect your privacy.  While legal requirements vary from country to country, LBW intends to adhere to the principles set forth in this Privacy Policy even if, in connection with the above, we transfer your Personal Information from your country to countries that may not require any specific level of protection for your Personal Information.  Ultimately, our goal is to provide protection for your Personal Information regardless of what Personal Information is collected, transferred, or retained. 

Special Notice: Processing a Minor’s Personal Data

Except in specific cases where LBW organizes educational events specifically designed for minors, we do not intentionally collect personal data of individuals under sixteen (16) years old.  If you are under sixteen (16) years old (or a different age to reflect local legal requirement) please do not send us your personal data (i.e., name, address and email address).  If you wish to contact LBW in a way which requires submission of your personal data (such as for education or innovation events) please have a parent or guardian do so on your behalf.

Why Do We Process Personal Information?

We process personal information covered by this Privacy Notice for the following purposes:

  1. Business execution : including providing, researching, developing and improving products or services; concluding and executing agreements with Business Customers, Suppliers and Business Partners; recording and settling services, products and materials to and from a LBW company; managing relationships and marketing such as maintaining and promoting contact with existing and prospective customers, account management, customer service, and development, execution and analysis of market surveys and marketing strategies;
  2. Organization and management of the business : including financial management, asset management, mergers, demergers, acquisitions and divestitures, implementation of controls, management reporting, analysis, internal audits and investigations;
  3. Health, safety and security : including protection of an individual’s life or health, occupational health and safety, protection of LBW companies and staff, authentication of individual status and access rights; or

You may receive offers on behalf of the relevant Business Customer, Supplier or Business Partner. On all occasions you will be given the opportunity to use the unsubscribe functionality through the different digital channels we use to interact with you.  

What Personal Information is Covered?

The personal information covered by this Privacy Notice is only processed:

  1. in order to take steps at the request of an individual prior to entering into a contract;
  2. where it is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation to which LBW is subject to;
  3. where it is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by LBW, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual/s; or
  4. if legally required: with the explicit consent of the individual.

In those cases where processing is based on consent, and subject to applicable local law which provides otherwise, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.  This will not affect the validity of the processing prior to the withdrawal of consent.

Wherever your Personal Information may be held within LBW or on its behalf, LBW shall take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the Personal Information shared against unauthorized access or disclosure.
